Standard meters

Standard meters are the most common, and have one row of numbers.

To read your meters:

  1. Read the numbers from left to right, including any zeros.
  2. Ignore any numbers after the decimal point or in red. If your meter does not have a decimal point, read all numbers, including any zeros.

E.g. The reading for this meter would be 07192.

 

Day/ Night Meters

Day/ Night Meters have two rows of numbers to seperately record the electricity you use during both day and night. These rows may be labelled as Day and Night, or 1/I (Night) and 2/II (Day).

To read your meter:

  1. For each row, read the numbers from left to right, including any zeros.
  2. Ignore any numbers after the decimal point or in red. If your meter does not have a decimal point, read all numbers, including any zeros.

E.g. The day reading for this meter is 07192, and the night reading is 05314.
